BLINK IN MINK STUDIO, established in February 2018 by Claire Gutierez, a now multi-certified eyelash artist and educator, has quickly become a prominent entity in the local beauty scene. Claire, who embarked on her eyelash journey at 17, initially underwent Classic, Hybrid, and Volume Training in Calgary, AB, before advancing her skills as an Educator in Los Angeles, CA, in January 2020. With close to two years of experience, Claire has already left a significant mark on the industry.
Through BLINK IN MINK STUDIO's Training Programs, Claire aims to impart her passion, expertise, and wisdom, shaping a new generation of specialists known for their unparalleled technique, quality, and refined skill. OMBRE POWDER BROWS
Ombre Brows are done by softly shading the brows with a digital permanent makeup tattoo machine. The outcome can be either soft or bold, resembling powdered or pomade brows. They work well for all skin types, especially oily or combination skin.
It's a semi-permanent procedure lasting up to 2-3 years, but how long it lasts depends on factors like skin type, lifestyle, and sun exposure. It's recommended to get a touch-up after 6 to 8 weeks to fill any gaps and make the brows look denser.

Powder Ombré Course
At Blink in Mink Training Studio, we provide comprehensive training in permanent makeup. Students learn the latest techniques with the newest PMU machine. They practice on live models, gaining valuable hands-on experience. With our training, they become skilled artists in advanced pigment application.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do eyelash extensions hurt?
Eyelash extensions should not hurt when applied correctly. They are applied with professional tools by isolating one lash, and adhering one or more extension to your natural lash for classic lashes or fans for volume lashes. Most Lash Artists put on under eye gel pads to prevent discomfort and aid in application. It is important to go to a trusted Lash Artist who was certified through a reputable course as this will ensure that they are applying the correct weight and length of lashes to your natural lash.
How long do eyelash extensions last?
Most eyelash extension adhesives have a bond time of anywhere from 3-5 weeks. However, they will only last as long as your natural lash does. Like all hair on the human body, your eyelashes grow in stages. It is normal to lose 1-4 natural lashes per day which is why a fill is recommended every 2-4 weeks.
Do eyelash extensions look fake?
Eyelash extensions can be applied to look anyway that you desire. Most reputable lash artists will be able to give you your desired look or very similar. You can choose to have shorter natural lashes, large dramatic lashes, etc. Typically speaking, eyelash extensions don’t look fake unless that is the look that you are going for and pending if your lashes are capable of the appropriate weight.
Do eyelash extensions damage my natural lashes?
When applied correctly, eyelash extensions do not damage your natural lash. Certified lash artists will apply to only one natural lash, and will apply an extension that is the appropriate weight and length to ensure the integrity of your natural lash. Eyelash extensions can be damaging if your lash artist is not using proper techniques. Lashes that are too heavy, or clusters (pre-made fans) have a larger amount of adhesive and can cause your natural lash to break. When selecting your lash artist, ask which techniques that they use and where they were certified. This will aid in maintaining healthy natural lashes and enjoying the benefits of extensions.

Policies
ALL DEPOSITS ARE NONREFUNDABLE
Arrival
New guests, please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to fill out any additional paperwork. Appointment times are carefully budgeted based upon the experience and average service completion time, with that being stated: If you arrive after your scheduled appointment time, it may not be possible to extend the time available for your booked service; if your service is shortened due to your late arrival, you will still be charged the full cost of service.
Any arrival more than 15 minutes after the appointment start time will have to be rescheduled, deposit of the service cost will be charged to cover the time that the artist will no longer be able to fill.
When arriving for a lash fill, please arrive with clean/makeup free eyes and lashes. Extra time spent cleaning your lashes will mean less time lashing and a cleaning fee of $10 is applied.
Reservation Fee
A reservation fee is needed to book any “services” I.e. classic/ hybrid/ volume/ mega volume full set. This fee is non- refundable, and only transferable to one (1) new date if appointment is rescheduled with more than 72 hours of the original scheduled time. If the appointment is rescheduled or canceled less than 72 hours, the reservation fee is forfeited and a new reservation fee must be paid before rebooking, there are no exceptions.
For your safety and that of staff and other clients, please do not come to your appointments sick. If it is assumed you are currently sick, your appointment may be cut short or cancelled and rescheduled for when you are healthy again.
Cancellation/ Reschedule + No Show
A minimum of 72 hours notice is required to reschedule/cancel a booked appointment without penalty. As a courtesy, appointment reminders are sent out 24 hour either by text, email, or both prior to your appointment. If an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours of your appointment, you will be charged 50% of your service as a cancellation fee.
If you no show ( do not arrive/ do not have contact until after your scheduled time has started), or arrive more than 15 minutes late to your scheduled time you will be charged 100% of your service as a cancellation fee. There are no exceptions to these policies.
Other Artists’ Work
Due to the unregulated nature of eyelash extension trainings, certifications and state board regulations, there are a lot of lash artists that have been improperly trained; and at Blink in Mink Studio, our priority is your natural lash health and eye safety. Thus, if you are interested in being serviced by any of our artists here at the facility the lash extensions will need to be removed and a full set applied at the artists pricing. We can not guarantee the integrity of other business’ work, so we will not, in good conscious work over any other work than that of BNM STUDIO.
Results
The artist that you are booked with is educated, and trained in the service being provided; even with that being stated, every clients results will differ dependent upon varying reasons, i.e. skin texture, oiliness, lifestyle, commitment to aftercare, natural lash density, etc. We are committed to giving an in depth consultation to find your desired result, and communication will always be clear as to if it will be obtainable. All aftercare will be explained, so that the client can maintain their investment while outside of the shop. Even though there is an average time frame in between fill/ refresh appointments, these times vary from client to client, your artist will communicate the time frame in between appointments that most benefits your investment and it is the clients responsibility to maintain that recommendation. All work is ONLY guaranteed when the recommended aftercare is purchased, and used correctly as recommended . Any poor retention on a client that has not purchased aftercare will be considered user error and charged accordingly.
Refund Policy
You are paying for artist time, product and other expenses used to provide you with a service. No refunds full, partial or otherwise will be given for any reason on services or products. If you are unhappy with a service, you may contact us within 24 hours for of your appointment for lash extensions to discuss your concerns; if a fix can be done to address your concerns, it will be done so with a complimentary 30 minute express touch up, if it is at the fault of the artists’ application or product. Any concern addressed after 72 hours of your last appointment, or if you failed to follow the proper aftercare instructions, will be charged at full price for the service.
Child and Guest Policy
While we love friends and family, our space is too intimate to bring extra guests along.
